Our family circle is forever broken as we announce the passing of our sister Caddy, om December 5th, 2023 in Inverary Manor, Inverness. She was born in Inverness on February 23, 1936, the eldest of six daughters of the late Angus Allan and Margaret (Gillis) Gillis.
Caddy grew up and attended school in Upper Margaree. After the death of her parents she lived in Halifax for a few years, then moved to Namara Complex in Inverness where she enjoyed the independence of having her own apartment. Due to declining health, Caddy moved to Inverary Manor in June 2015 where she received the best of care. She was a women of strong faith with a devotion to Saint Anne and made many pilgrimages to the shrine in Quebec.
