Danny (Danno to many) was a cherished husband, devoted brother, loving uncle, proud godfather and a loyal friend to so many. We are deeply saddened by his departure but so thankful for the wonderful memories we have fondly gathered over the years.
Born and raised in South West Margaree by his parents, Pat and Kaye, Danny had a gift for bringing joy to all around him. As a husband to Elaine, he was a constant source of love, laughter, and support. Together, they shared so many wonderful years, creating memories filled with love, humor, and companionship.
Family was at the heart of everything he did. He especially treasured time spent with his nieces and nephews, who meant the world to him. His eyes lit up at every family gathering, and his presence brought warmth and laughter. His quick wit and great sense of humor made him the one everyone could count on to lighten any room and make others smile.
To his siblings, Tena (Jean-Yves), Anne, Theresa (Dave), Sandy (Brenda), Alan (Maureen), Darlene (Sean), Fabian (Carol), Paula (Tony), Kim (Brian), and Ethna (Brooks); he was more than a brother—he was a friend, and someone who was always there with a joke, a smile, or a helping hand. We will forever remember his witty one-liners. His friends knew him as a true and loyal companion, a man who lifted spirits, and brought joy wherever he went.
Danny found happiness in life’s simple moments, whether it was a lively family dinner, an impromptu gathering with loved ones or a good game of cards. He especially loved his time spent on “The Hill” in the South West. He will forever be remembered for his humor, his warmth, and the love he shared so freely.
We would be amiss if we didn’t share Danny’s love of sports. He loved watching the Toronto Maple Leafs play even when he knew the outcome may not be so great. He would be what we would call a die-hard Leaf’s fan. Not only did he enjoy watching sports, but he also enjoyed playing a good round of golf. He had such a way of winding up for that first tee-off shot. As he would say himself, “Come aboard.”
Danny spent thirty years in Fort McMurray before retiring to home in Nova Scotia.
Besides those he leaves behind, he is predeceased by his parents, Pat and Kaye; brothers, Patrick, Chuck, and Jimmy; sister-in-law, Mary; and his father-in-law Archie. Danny had such a special and wonderful connection with these beautiful souls.
A visitation for Danny’s life will take place on Tuesday, November 12th in Inverness Funeral Home from 4-8pm. His Funeral Mass will take place in St. Joseph’s Church SW Margaree on Wednesday November 13th at 11am with Father Peter LeBlanc officiating; with burial to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery Fund.

Though Danny has left us much earlier than we had ever hoped, his legacy of love, humor, and kindness will remain with us always.
