MacKay Donald John – age 88, passed away in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow on April 17th, 2012. Born in Harbourview on June 24, 1923 he was a son of the late Angus R (Gussie) and Mary (Mamie) (MacLellan) MacKay. He was a member of St. Peter’s Parish Port Hood. He enjoyed seeing family come home for vacation. He also enjoyed spending time at Little Judique Harbour, where he worked and socialized. A love for BINGO was also his favourite pass time. Donnie is survived by sisters Catherine Kirtz, Mary Anne Ferguson and Lexina MacKay. He was predeceased by brothers Alex, Don, Francis, Frank, and Joe, also by sisters Sr. Sadie, Marguerite, Anna and Gertie. He will be missed by all family including his many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Funeral mass will take place in St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood with burial in the Parish cemetery at a later date.
