

TRENHOLM, Duncan Francis "Frankie", 67, Port Hood, Inverness County. It is with great sadness that we, the family of the late Frankie Trenholm announce his passing suddenly at his home on May 12, 2015. Born on March 20, 1948, he was a son of the late Lester and Mary (Campbell) Trenholm. He married the love of his life, the late Margie (Beaton) Trenholm 43 years ago on May 5th. Frankie was also a loving father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Liam) MacDonald, Mabou; sons, Michael (Stephanie), Port Hood; and Brian (Heather), Windsor, Ontario; sister, Carolyn (Joe) Janega, Port Hawkesbury; brothers, Ronnie (Catherine), Port Hood; Gary (Lorraine), Halifax; grandchildren, Matthew, Liam, Sam, Ally, Kate, Mason, Mackenzie Trenholm; Parker and Marli MacDonald. Frankie was a fixture in the horse racing community and will be greatly missed by his fellow horsemen. Frankie worked as an iron worker for 39 years at Stora Forest Industries where he valued his many long time friendships with co-workers. Visitation will take place on Friday, May 15 from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Port Hood and Area Resting Place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 16th at 2pm in St. Peter's Parish Church, Port Hood with Fr. Vincent vanZutphen. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
