

With deep sorrow the family of “Chalk’ Francis MacDougall announces his passing on October 24th, 2011. Born in Inverness on July 27, 1945, he was a son of the late John Dan and Mary Sarah (MacDonald) MacDougall. Chalk was a member of Stella Maris Church, Inverness. He will always be remembered for his sense of humour , bartending skills, and for his love of children and horses.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Tena (Beaton); his stepsons, Al, Ron and Blaise (Paula) MacDonnell; his grandchildren, Cortney and Liam whom he loved dearly; brothers, Harold Dan (Delores), Windsor, Ont.; Hugh “Suey” (Cassie), Inverness; sisters, Margie MacDougall, Inverness ; Killy (Malcolm) MacDougall, Windsor, Ont. ; Thelma (late Don) MacNeil ,Brocton, Mass. He was also survived by sister- in-law, Jessie MacDougall, Long Point and brother- in-law, Sandy Beaton, Sydney; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Willie Dan, John Archie and John James; sisters, Mary Florence “ Trixie” (Archie) Sofan, Lizzie Beaton, Margaret Marie Mac Dougall. Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Friday, October 28th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.where funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 11a.m. in Stella Maris Church, Inverness with Father Duncan Mac Isaac officiating. Burial to follow in the Parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
