It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vance Rockwell on Monday, November 28th in Inverness Consolidated Hospital. Born on February 14, 1942 in St. John, NB to Everett and Theresa Rockwell. Vance worked as a substitute teacher in Inverness for many years and will be remembered by many of his students. Vance had a variety of interests. He was actively involved in studying and care for wolves and even published a book on wolf behavior. He had held the role of Vice President of the Atlantic Wildlife Federation. He was also an accomplished musician.
Vance will be missed and remembered by his beloved wife Sandra, his children John, Elizabeth (Steve) Chartrand, Kristopher (Ingrid) and Matthew, grandchildren: Declan, Nicholas, Ryan, Josh and Jack as well as other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, one son Peter and his brother Eric.
A gathering to lay Vance cremated remains to rest in New Brunswick will take place in the spring. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.invernessfuneralhome.com.
