It is with great sadness and the heaviest hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear son, brother, and father James Breton Doyle on March 29, 2020. He was born on June 11, 1978, to Bernard (Brown) and Linda (Sofan) Doyle, in Inverness where he lived all of his life and was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Inverness, NS. Breton is survived by his loving parents, Linda and Brown; brother, Bobby Lee; daughter, Brianne; nephew, Finley. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Archie and Trixie Sofan, Inverness and paternal grandparents Catherine and Charles Doyle, Inverness. Breton will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends with whom he had some very special relationships, especially Bernie with whom he spent many evenings on his deck watching the sun set. Breton graduated from Inverness Academy in June of 1996, where he proudly wore his Rebels jersey during his high school years. He went on to study Power Engineering at NSCC Strait Campus and remained in Inverness after graduation, accepting employment at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Breton also spent many days aboard Island Echos, where he fished lobster with his father and enjoyed many evening rides. He loved to take friends and strangers to share in the beauty of the Western coastline and tell stories of his fishing experiences. Breton’s accidental and untimely death has left a void in the hearts of all that knew him. The sharing of memories of the one that got away and the good times are endless. Breton loved the outdoors and could be found in his camo and fishing gear through all seasons as he loved to hunt and fish. Breton’s love for the outdoors and animals was shared with his significant other Allyson, where they spent much of their time enjoying the natural beauty that life has to offer. Family and friends meant the world to Breton and he always enjoyed gatherings where he could usually be found closest to the guitar. He loved music, his Habs, but most of all he loved his daughter Brianne. He was so proud of her and cherished all of their time together. Online condolences may be made at: www.invernessfuneralhome.com Donations in memory of Breton can be made to the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Funeral arrangements will be at a later date.

From our entire Fraser-MacDonald household - we just wanted to express our heartfelt condolences to the Doyle’s, the extended family, and friends. These past few weeks have been heartbreaking for sure. Breton was such a good friend to Jesse and Lindsay, such a big part of Jesse’s introduction to Inverness. The family of Brown and Linda was always so accepting of Jesse and he has many wonderful memories of time spent with Breton, Bobby, Frankie, and Wade. We share in your pain...Breton will be dearly missed. Love, Jesse Lindsay Ewan and William

So sorry to hear about your tragic loss. Breton was a good man and I shared a number of laughs with him at the hospital (mainly at someone elses expense)! He would always lend me a helping hand if something needed to be moved or taken to one of the departments. The basement at ICMH will never be the same but the spirit of him will never leave anybody that had the pleasure of calling him a friend.

To Breton's Family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you experience this sudden, tragic loss of a fine young gentleman. Breton was a very valuable member of the team at ICMH. Breton was always willing to help us in the primary care sector.. .he would never say "no" even when it meant climbing the ladder to empty the buckets from the ceiling leak and also climbing up onto the roof during the winter wind/snow storm to help us manage the leak in the office . For these specific actions, I have been forever grateful to Breton. Breton always did his best to accommodate the health care providers and always with a grin/smile. Our hallways will no longer echo his footsteps, but we will never forget our friend/co-worker. Thanks for sharing all the beautiful family photos/treasures on this tribute page to Breton. Cherish all the memories and take care of each other...you are in our prayers and we will be there to help you though this loss...take care, Mary Anderson and Cecil MacQuarrie
