
Cameron James Darrell “Jimmy” – passed away peacefully in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital on Thursday April, 24, 2014, in the company of family, after a brief battle with cancer. Jimmy was born in Inverness on March 20, 1954, to the late Dan Joe and Christine (MacMillan) Cameron. Jimmy is survived by his son, Joey Cameron Greenwood; sisters, Allana Burton, Inverness, and Donna Cameron, Kitchener, Ont.; brother, Malcolm, Inverness; nieces and nephews, Brennan, Buddy, Shane, John, Chad, Danny, Millan, Andrea, Sheena, Haley, Johnny, Allison, Karla and Lisa. Jimmy lived an adventurous life in his younger years as he decided to take employment with Imperial Oil, sailing to ports in Canada and the United States. He was also employed by the Strathlorne Forest Nursery and with Esso, delivering heating oil throughout the county. As for the love of sport, he was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf Fan. He never could convince Joey to cheer for them though he may have influenced a nephew or two. Family was very important to Jimmy and with that, his family will miss him dearly. Jimmy is predeceased by his brother, Alex (Helen); sister, Glenda (Dougie) Beaton; niece, Coline MacDonnell and nephew, D.J. Cameron. Cremation has taken place.
