Jessie Anne MacKenzie

MacKenzie, Jessie Anne - 64, of Port Hood, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011, at home in Port Hood, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Port Hood on October 12, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John Alex and Flora (Cameron) Chisholm. Jessie Anne was a member of St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood and she was a woman who loved big and laughed hard. She will be missed by all who came to know her. Jessie Anne is survived by her ex husband, John MacKenzie; sons, Darrell (Wife Amy) and Kirk (Wife Brenda) and daughter, Karlena all of Massachusetts, USA. She is also survived by brothers, Cameron, Steve Chisholm, Windsor, Ont. and sister, Mary Peters (Husband Francis) Massachusetts; grandchildren, Evan, Alexander MacKenzie, Richard Fieler, Alyssa, Keira and Liana MacKenzie, Ashlynn Record and long-time companion Tassian “Tom” Aucoin and her many friends and extended family. Jessie Anne was predeceased by her brother, Donald. Visitation will be held in Port Hood and Area Resting Place on Thursday, August 4, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with Funeral mass to follow at 11 a.m. from St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood, with Father Vincent Van Zutphen officiating; burial to follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
