On Jan 23, 2026, Clay passed away peaceful at his residence in Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home.

Clay and his twin brother Reg were born in North Bay Nipissing Ontario.

Clay is predeceased by his mother, Mary Sara "May"; brothers, Reg and Poe; sister, Catherine Gillzer MacDonald "Kathy/Sister".

He is survived by his son, Michael Allan MacDonald, (Susan); grandfather to Alissa and Sarah; daughter, Brenda Catherine; grandfather to Jenna -Marie and Tyler and Jason; uncle to nieces and nephew.

A special thank you to John MacDonald for keeping him company before his departure.

May he rest in peace.

Respecting Clay's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral, he will be laid to rest in Stella Maris Parish Cemetery, Inverness.

Memorial donations may be made to Stella Maris Parish Cemetery Fund or to a charity of choice.
