

Born in Toronto, Ont., he was the son of the late John Angus MacIntyre and Catherine (MacInnis) and step-father Colin MacDonald.
John worked in automobile sales for many years. He loved playing hockey and was a Canadiens fan. He would always lend a hand to a friend in need. He enjoyed touring around on his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his children and family.
He is survived by his girlfriend Annette Armstrong; daughter Megan Dawn MacIntyre; son Nolan Angus MacIntyre; step-brother Gerard (Chy) MacDonald; step-sister Coleen (Kevin) Ingraham; special cousin Donna (Dave) Cameron who was like a sister to him; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by grandparents; Joseph Alex and Katie Bell MacIntyre, and John James and Margaret MacInnis.
Visitation will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive on Tuesday December 3rd from 7-9pm and on Friday December 6th from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Parish, Mabou. The funeral mass will take place at St. Mary’s Parish on Saturday at 11am, Father Angus Morris officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to heart and Stroke Foundation or Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
