June Agnes Christopher

Christopher, June Agnes - Age, 69 passed away in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. June was a daughter of the late John and Helen Caroline (Hill) Rorison. June lived in Halifax and worked at Dalhousie University before returning home to her beloved Cape Breton and her residence in Mabou. She enjoyed being a grandmother to Molly and mother and best friend to Gail. June also loved to do crafts and anything to do with outdoors with her family pets by her side. June is survived by her son, David Simms, Ont; sister, Margaret, Inverness; several nieces and nephews; grand nieces and grand-nephews. She was lovingly cared for by her grand-nephew Ron. Brown. June was predeceased by her husband, Don and brothers, John “Joke”, Robert , William “red”, George, Ivy and David; sisters, Annie, Katherine, Helen and Jessie. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by family request and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
