

Beaton, Louis Anthony - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Anthony Beaton, 68, of Inverness, which occured on Friday, June 28, 2013, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born on June13, 1945, in New Waterford, Louis was a son of the late Bernie and Lila (Richardson) Beaton. Louis did a little bit of everything, he worked as a miner, then enjoyed his passion as a lobster fisherman for over 41 years.He had a love for life. His hobbies and interests were bingo, card games, as well as working at the arena canteen while cheering the kids on the ice as they played hockey.His love was harness racing with his wife and son Anthony. They were best friends that bought, travelled, jogged, and trained many horses over the years. Surviving are his wife, Anna (MacDonald); children, Kim (Robert) Lemal, Inverness; Donna (Jake) Graham, Calgary, Alta.; and son, Anthony of Inverness. He leaves behind grandchildren, Carly, Caitlin,and his little buddy Ethan. Also survived by his brother, Dan Joe (Sally), Inverness; sisters, Mary (Bernie) Lapierre, Cheticamp; Tena MacDougall and Annie MacDonald, Inverness; special cousin and friend, Gloria(Colonel) Smith, Inverness; many nieces and nephews. Louis was predeceassed by his brother, John and infant brother, Angus Louis.Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Tuesday July 2, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 3, at 11 am in Stella Maris Church, Inverness, with Fr. Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in St. Margaret of Scotland Cemetery, Broad Cove.Family flowers only please.
