

It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Martin Angus Cameron, 81, of Margaree Forks on November 5th, 2015, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Catherine Marie (Rankin) for fifty-three years, and loving father of Lawrence (Jeanette), Belle Cote;, Corinne (Peter) Pilon, Petty Harbour, N.F.; Michael (Linda), Red Deer, AB, and Lisa (Vern) Cameron-MacDougall, Judique. He was so proud of his six grandchildren, Douglas, Cassie, Rose, Patrick, Finley and Colin. Martin is survived by sisters, Mary (Cletus) Touesnard, Isabel (Angus)Campbell, Bill (Wilma), Archie (Vonda), Pat (Obbie), Alex (Ann) and Gerard (Sophie) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael Allan Cameron and Mary (Kennedy).
Born on January 13, 1934, at his family home in Margaree Forks. Martin "the Milkman" delivered milk to many homes and businesses in Inverness County for over 35 years. He was a dedicated member of the Margaree Volunteer Fire Department from 1968 -1992 and was a member of St. Joseph's Parish Church. He volunteered many hours to his community in any capacity that was needed. A friend to many, he was known for his sense of humour and always had a story to share. Martin had a special bond with his Rankin in-laws. He enjoyed music and especially loved listening to his children and grandchildren as they played his favourite songs and tunes. He was also known to lend his own vocal talents in many concerts and parties. He was a patient and loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan and was always up for a lively game of auction. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Sunday, November 8th, 2015, in St. Joseph's Parish Hall in Southwest Margaree. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Joseph's Church, Southwest Margaree on Monday, November 9th at 11am with Father Barrett Clare Johnson officiating.
