Maggie was born in Wallaceburg, Ontario on September 21, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Betty and Edgar Apthorp.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Plant, Inverness; daughter, Vicky Plant, BC; son, Chris (Naomi) Plant, Esqumalt; brothers, Robert (Jan) Ontario, Mickey (Linda), Ontario; sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and her 4-legged friends, Laddie and Babe.
Maggie's hobbies were reading, cooking, gardening and special drives with Larry.
She was Pastor of St. John's Pastoral Charge including St. Matthew's United Church, Inverness, St. John's United Church, Strathlorne, St. Stephen's Jubilee United Church, Port Hood.
Maggie served in The Royal Canadian Navy for 10 years. Her 1st Pastoral Charge was in Bright, Ontario, and then on to Inverness IN 2010 until her passing.
She was a very modest, witty and humble person who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who came to know her. Maggie organized and led the manor services and was the Legion Chaplain for Branch 132, Inverness.

Visitation will be held in St. Matthew's United Church, Inverness on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 1-1:45 p.m. with Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Janice MacLean celebrating.
