Patricia Margaret MacKenzie

December 4, 1947March 17, 2020

Patricia "Patsy" Margaret Ann MacKenzie went to heaven on March 17, 2020 at the age of 72.

Patsy was born to Margaret Webb (Porier) and Joe MacEachern, on December 4,1947 in Inverness. Patsy has spent most of her life dedicating her time to others. Patsy worked at Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital for many years before retiring. She came out of retirement to work at Inverness Manor for several more years, only to have her battle with cancer retire her for good from the Shean Co-op. Patsy loved people and it showed. Patsy had a certain way of always making you feel special. If you were having a bad day - you went to Patsy, good news, advice, or just a visit, you went to Patsy's because you knew the tea was always on. She was predeceased are her parents, Margaret E. Webb and Joe MacEachern; infant son, Steven Alexander; husband, Alexander (Alex) J. MacKenzie (Dec. 10, 2019, only 98 days before her). Alex passed suddenly from a heart attack. Alex worked all his life on CN Railway, Scotia Railway, or in the Woods. His biggest love was Patsy.

She was also predeceased by siblings, Marion (Cal), Benard (Kitty), Charlie "Pookie" (Theresa) and Joey. .

Surviving are daughters, Patricia MacKenzie Bigger, Halifax and Alison MacKenzie, Inverness; siblings, Deanna (David), Judy ( Ritchie ), and Michael (Lorainne); grandchildren, Kale, Kelsey, Shalyssa, Lexie, Melanie, Hunter, Ava, and Colbin; great-grandchildren, Reign, Lyla, Grayson, Jaxson and C.J. Due to the fact that Patsy was battling cancer and going through chemo we couldn't hold services for her husband either. It is with the utmost honor to lay both parents to rest on August 8th, at 11:00 a.m. in Stella Maris Catholic Church, Inverness. Memorial donations can be made in honor of Patsy, Alex or both to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society. 50 years together and now they will return back home together. Patricia, Allison, Deanna, Judy & Michael:

My sincere condolences to the entire family. Growing up on Forest Street with all the Webb kids sure shaped my happy childhood. Many a day we had fun down at Louie's Pool and if we were lucky a "wiener roast." I can only wish you strength and courage.
