On May 3rd 2023, Patricia "Tish" Marie Doucet passed suddenly in Inverness NS. Born in Waterloo ON, July 19th 1960, to Patrick (deceased) and Anne Cormier. She is survived by her loving husband, Redmond Sr, and her children Redmond Jr (Tanya Beth), Ryan (Elizabeth), and Laura (Jason), as well as her sisters, Mary Mae, Stacy, and her brother Charlie. She always proudly boasted about her five grandchildren, the lights of her life, Mallory, Miranda, Walker, Brett and Scottie.
Tish and her husband ran their own business in Inverness for 20 years serving the community. She also worked at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital in various departments where she was well loved. Tish loved sitting trackside watching Redmond Jr with her family, and watching her children excel at sports throughout their lives. You could find her at Lake Ainslie spring to fall with her best bud, Ben. The bond that she shared with her sisters and her mother was celebrated each Tuesday night with a game of cards. This set an example for Red, Ryan and Laura for what sibling love truly is. Tish was a huge Toronto Blue Jays fan as well as a supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Hopefully they win the cup for her this year!
She was surrounded by a long list of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and too many friends to list. Despite her large circle of family and friends, she was always there to provide support and love to whoever needed her.
Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Wednesday May 10th from 3-7 pm. Funeral Mass to take place in Stella Maris Church, Inverness on Thursday at 11:00 am with Father Danny MacLennan officiating.
Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
