Rita Carmel (MacNeil) Doucette

Doucette Rita Carmel, Age 83. It is with wounded hearts the family of Rita Carmel (MacNeil) Doucette announce her passing on Monday, November 24, 2014, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Rita was a member of Stella Maris Church, Inverness and was a daughter of the late John Colin and Janet (MacDonald) MacNeil. Rita is survived by and will be dearly missed by her son, Donnie; daughters, Coline (Melvin) and Janet (Gerard). She is also survived by brothers, Ainslie and Ferdie MacNeil; grandchildren, Jonathan Doucette, Sean Larade, Derek Larade and great grandchild, Zachary Noah Doucette, who she was so proud off. Rita was predeceased by her husband, John H “Jackie” Doucette; sister, Lorraine Racki; brothers, Gerald, Donnie, Douglas ‘Mort” and Frank MacNeil. At Rita’s request there will be no visitation. The late Rita will rest in Stella Maris Church, Inverness on Friday November 28 from 10-10:45 a.m. and funeral mass to follow at 11 a.m. with Fr. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to the Heart and Stooke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
