Rose Mary truly enjoyed the little things in life, affectionately known to her family as “Rosie Bingo”, she was never one to turn down a game with her lifelong friend Mary Judson and sister Cath. She had a love of music, dancing, Inverness beach, a cold can of Keiths, a good story, a drive in the country, and getting together with the girls. Most of all, she loved helping people. She was an exceptional woman with a powerful voice that she used to better her community and the people within it.
Rose Mary spent 30 years working for Service Canada, she took pride in her position and was dedicated to keeping employment opportunities and funding accessible to the residents and small businesses of Inverness County.
After retirement Rose found a new labour of love in Inverness Development Association. She volunteered in different positions within the Association and was involved with many successful initiatives that aligned with her goal of keeping Inverness a strong and resilient community.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the team of medical professionals that surrounded her throughout her journey, Dr. Ritter, Dr. Butler, Dr. Saliba, Lori-Ann, the Inverness Oncology Unit and the nursing staff of the Inverness Hospital. We can never fully express our gratitude for your dedication and care.
In keeping with Rose Mary’s wishes and her selfless spirit, her remains have been donated to the Dalhousie Human Body Donation Program where medical students build their knowledge and pave the way for a healthier future.
