OBITUARY

Tracey Lee Wiswell-Gardner

May 6, 1971September 3, 2020

There are no easy words to describe the loss of our dear mother, sister and friend. Tracey-lee Wiswell- Gardner,49. Born in Inverness to Walter and Florence (nee Hennebury) Wiswell, on May 6th 1971. She was a force of nature, who possessed a quick wit, warm smile and a very big heart. She never backed away from a fight or from someone who needed her help. Left to mourn her passing are her children, Eric Gordon Fraser, Skylar Macbride Gardner and Thomas Gardner; her ex-husband, James Gardner, all of Sydney Mines; sister, Rosalynd (Murdoch) Cameron and brother, Trevior Wiswell of Ryley and Camrose Alberta. As well as many nieces and nephews. Tracey will be dearly missed by her godfather, Stanley MacEachen, who loved and looked after her like a second father. As well as many aunts and uncles in Inverness and Newfoundland! She is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Florence; grandparents, Robert and Agnes Wiswell, Richard and Margret Hennebury ( Lord’s Cove, Nfl); uncle, Gordon Wiswell and cousin Tammy Jean Wiswell; as well as her cherished godmother, Veronica Deagle (Inverness). The huge hole that her loss leaves in our lives will never heal. There will never be anyone like her good and bad. She was her own person and worst enemy. Although I’m not sure she always knew how much she was loved, she was dearly and deeply! She will always be missed! Visitation, funeral service and burial will be held at a later date. Donations in Tracey's memory may be made to Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital or to St. Matthews Cemetery Fund. Online condolences may be made to: www.invernessfuneralhome.com

A Gracious Lady

Her charm
is not of worldly style;
There is a light
about her face.
Reflected in her gentle smile,
Her air
of sweetness and of Grace.
Her patience and kindness
under life's duress
Comes from her spirit's
Inner Glow
That clothes her
with a gentle, kind, loveliness
Dependant not on outward show
She's a gracious lady
A Rare and Special Breed
of Humility ❤️

I worked for the Salvation Army in Sydney and was honored in knowing Tracey. She was a force of nature and made me smile every time she popped in! She brought me in this poem and said she wrote it for me, l was going through a tough time, my son was ill, and I was so touched. I have held on to this poem and read it numerous times over the years as I suffered through the loss of my son and my husband. It gave me strength in myself to keep on going even when I felt I couldn't.. I share it today with her family, I hope it will bring you some peace in this very difficult time.
