Bernice was born in Cameron, Texas to John Benjamin Perkins and Donna Merchant Perkins on November 8, 1935.
Bernice married G.W. Starnes on June 20, 1952. Together they traveled and lived in several places before settling in Electra, Texas in 2002. The pair had 3 children together.
Bernice loved life and going to the casino. She enjoyed Mexican food, going to the lake to fish, shopping, attending auctions and the flea market.
She will be deeply missed by: her brother Don Ed Perkins; her son Eddy M. Starnes; her Daughter Donnia Lureen Latimer; 8 Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren; and 1 Great-great-Grandchild.
Preceding her in passing include: her Parents G.W. Perkins and Donna Merchant Perkins; her brothers Ed, John, and Bill Perkins; her son David Wayne Starnes.
A celebration of life will be announced for a later date.
