Bobby Gene Robertson, born on October 22, 1957, in Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 68. Known for being hard-working, honest, wise, beloved, compassionate, and loyal, Bobby leaves behind a legacy of dedication and love.
Bobby attended Iowa Park High School, His career spanned work with Swanner Properties Oil Wells and Leases and CertainTeed before their closures. Additionally, he was a skilled general contractor, respected by all who knew him.
A beloved grandfather, Bobby cherished his three grandkids and was deeply loved by his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. His family was central to his life, and he was a guiding figure to many.
Bobby had a passion for hunting and fishing and was an avid sports enthusiast, particularly enjoying baseball and football. His love for baseball extended to coaching, where he imparted his wisdom and passion for the game to younger generations.
Bobby's life was guided by his faith, and he found strength in the words of Philippians 4:13: "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
A visitation will be held at Dutton Funeral Home, located at 300 East Cash Street, Iowa Park, TX, on January 22, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at the same location on January 23, 2026, from 10:00 am. Bobby will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery, 826 Rogers Rd, Iowa Park.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Carl Robertson and mother, Lelah Juanita Robertson; stepfather Herbert "Shorty" Lyons; brothers Willie Robertson and Carl Robertson.
Bobby is survived by his sons, Jacob Robertson (Christy Robertson) and Jessy Robertson (Heather Robertson); granddaughters Annika Robertson, Brooklyn Robertson, and Coralea Robertson; brother Lindal Robertson (Rita Robertson); sister Loretta Williams (Chad Williams); stepbrother Kenny Lyons (Leslie Lyons); stepsister Kimberly Lyons; and sister-in-law Tracy Robertson. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Bobby's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and the memories he created will endure in the hearts of his family and friends.
