Catherine Lovisa Meabon McDonald

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, March 17, 2014, at Life Tabernacle Church, Wichita Falls, with Rev. Gene Holley, Pastor, officiating. A private burial will be held at Restland Cemetery, Olney, Texas, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.

Catherine was born May 10, 1925 in Archer City, Texas, to Grandin Stillman Meabon and wife, Maude (Jones) Meabon. She married Herod Glen McDonald on November 18, 1943, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1958. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Mona Gwendolyn and Joe H. Hunt; nephew, Grandin Hunt; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mildred Meabon; son, Donald William McDonald, and daughter-in-law, Debbie McDonald.

Survivors include her son, Larry McDonald and wife, Donna Jean, and grandson, Joshua; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Gerald (Butch) Ladd; and daughter-in-law, Martha (Barker) McDonald; grandchildren, Rebecca (McDonald) Lanning; Lindsey Gail (Hamilton) Banta; and Meabon Cole Hamilton; and four great-grandchildren.
