Cecil Gilmore

Cecil Joe Gilmore was born October 21, 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Bill and Maryanne Gilmore. Cecil married the love of his life Debra Sue Blizard August 2, 1969. He graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1970. Cecil joined the United States Marine Corp in 1970. After his service, he returned home to Iowa Park and started work for Gilmore, Inc. He worked for the family business for the remainder of his life. Iowa Park was Cecil and Debbie’s home and they could not see themselves living anywhere else. Those who knew Cecil could not help but be drawn in by his infectious laugh and his big personality. He was loved by many and he loved many more. The love he had was not confined to his family. He shared his love with not only, his wife and children but with bonus children and numerous friends. Once you met Cecil, you were instant family.

Cecil Gilmore was preceded in death by his son Christopher Clark Gilmore. Surviving relatives include his wife Debra Sue Gilmore, parents Billy Joe and Maryanne Gilmore, children Cecil Joe Jr. and Jana Gilmore, Hope and Clint York, Heather and Daniel Hernandez, Jesse and Crystal Cole, and Kimberly and David Baird. Cecil loved his numerous grandchildren Bobby and Meghan Best, Cullen Gilmore, Cadence and Mason Morris, Matthew Rice, Patrick Rice, Alex Hernandez, Mercedes Hernandez, Adalyse Gilmore and one great grandchild Avery Best. Also survived by his siblings Jimmy and Vickie Gilmore, Billy and Denise Gilmore and Kenny Gilmore. He had numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and bonus children.
