

Charles Ray Borton, 85, of Chillicothe, TX passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. He was a true gift from God who spent his life giving and caring for his family, friends, and anyone he recognized to be in need of help. His kindness and love will truly be missed.
Charles was born on November 24, 1937, to the late Charley James Borton and Tommie (Houston) Borton in Electra, Texas. He spent his childhood growing up and loving life there and eventually moved to Wichita Falls as an adult. Charles joined the United States Navy at 17 in 1954 and served his country until 1958. After his discharge he spent numerous years working as a route salesman for Continental Baking until his retirement at the age of 65.
Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by the first love of his life, Johnnie Borton; his sister, Wanda Polk; and his grandson, Westin Borton.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Borton; sister, Geri Moody; brothers, Robert Borton (Judy) and Raymond Borton (Sharon); children, Dale Borton, Alice Berend (Mark), Marsha Ritchie (Darren); stepchildren, Mark Stidham (Vikki) and Tammy Pennington (Jeff); grandchildren, Ashlee Enos (Cody Taylor), Marley Ritchie, Libby Borton, Julia Berend, Emily Chenault (Levi), Traci Berend, Jody Batres (Esrin), Tammara Gatlin Nicholas Penington (Ally), Travis Penington, and Tyler Penington and multiple great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. on Monday June 19, 2023, at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, TX. Funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Bob Diekmann at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Dutton Funeral Home as well.
