Corey Mason McMahon was born on December 14, 1988 to David and Wendy McMahon. At age 6 Corey was diagnosed with brain cancer, and against all odds, survived this disease with a smile and a happy heart. Despite the surgery, treatment, and all the set backs and obstacles that got in his way, Corey continued to fight and overcome with the help of God, family, friends, and his own determination. He graduated from Iowa Park High School in 2008. Soon after, Corey's nephew, Rylee Wilson, was born. From a very early age, it was clear that the two of them would form a relationship that went far beyond Uncle and Nephew. They were best buds and loved each other dearly, as did his Nephew, Dakota, who loved his "Cordy"
In 2005 Corey fell in love with NASCAR and was the best fan of driver Tony Stewart. He always looked forward to going to both races held in Texas every year.
In 2015 Corey earned his drivers license and was so proud of the little Smart Car he owned. Corey had the biggest heart that anyone could have; always thinking of others before himself.
On June 14, 2016, Corey was diagnosed with another brain tumor and was preparing for surgery, but the Lord Jesus Christ decided not to put him through this ordeal, and called him home on June 23rd.
He is preceded in death by his older brother, Kristofor McMahon, Grandpa Stanley McMahon and Grandma Emmalee McMahon.
He is survived by his parents; David and Wendy Lee McMahon, sister; Desiree Wilson, Nephews; Rylee and Dakota Wilson, MeeMaw Lynne Alexander, and Aunts and Uncles; Audra and Rusty Smith, Tanya and Heath Barnes, Kimberly Johnson, and Briana and Rick Hakes.
Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Dutton Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11am Wednesday, June 29, at Cowboy Church of Iowa Park; burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
