

Dan Louis Ainsworth, 82, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 in Wichita Falls. Services will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the Pavilion at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park with Tim Ewing officiating. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
Dan was born December 5, 1932 in Bryson, Texas to L.B. and Loveda (Cook) Ainsworth. He married Earlene Hanshew on July 4, 1951. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Wichita County and for the City of Iowa Park where he retired. Dan loved cars and pick-ups. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, playing cards, and visiting at City Café twice a day for coffee and tea.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ronnie Ainsworth; and one grandson, Jason Ainsworth.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Earlene Ainsworth of Iowa Park; daughter, Darenda Roberts of Byers, Texas; son, Danny Ainsworth of Lexington, South Carolina; daughter, Cindy Menasco of Iowa Park; three grandchildren who were raised as his own children, Alisa Fowler of Iowa Park, Scott Byrd of Dean, Texas, and Tyler Eaton of Iowa Park; and his grandchildren, Jayne Bean of Byers; Amanda Garvin of Haskell, Texas; Julie Whitaker of Iowa Park; Rhonda and Rolinda Ainsworth of Lakeside City, Texas; Kase Carter of Wichita Falls; and Cam Ainsworth of Holliday, Texas; 17 great grandchildren; two half-sisters, Winona Myrick and Linda Atchley; and one half-brother, Burett Ainsworth, all of Graham, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Dutton Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
