Danny Ray Davis, 70, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Dr. Greg Ammons, First Baptist Church of Garland, Texas officiating and Pastor Tim Franks, Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park assisting. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. Visitation will be held from 7-9 PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the funeral home. Danny was born March 1, 1948 in Wellington, Texas to Homer Edwin and Fay Lucille (Carter) Davis. He grew up in Northfield, Texas and was a 1966 graduate of Matador High School in Matador, Texas. Danny married Judy Lee Woods on June 7, 1969 in Odessa, Texas. Danny worked for Halliburton in Monahans, Texas for 10 years, afterwards, he moved to the Wichita Falls area where he worked with two of his brothers in the welding supply business before he began selling cars in the mid 90's. From that point, he had found his true calling in sales working at several area car dealerships. Danny enjoyed bowling, golfing, and spending time with his grandkids. Danny is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Paul, H.E. "Junior", and Bobby Davis; three sisters, Frances Jones, Dorothy Daniels, and Helen Nix. Surviving relatives include his wife, Judy Davis of Wichita Falls, Texas; son, Rodney Scot and wife, Gretchen Davis of Altus, Oklahoma; daughter, Laura Davis of Iowa Park; grandchildren, Taylor, Gabrielle, Madison, Morgan, Kaelee, Amanda, and Daniel; brothers, Harry Lesley "Sonny", Jacky, and Kenneth; sister, Betty Simpson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls or Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park.

Mr Davis never lost his smile or that twinkle in his eye during all his days in the hospital and Judy never left his side. He touched so many of us that had the privilege of knowing him and we still remember you and think about you both often. May God continue to heal you as you grieve this loss. Psalm 29:11
