Darryl Edward Harrison

Darryl Edward Harrison was born in Electra, Texas on October 24, 1956 to Richard and Silvesta Harrison. The family moved to Iowa Park, Texas shortly thereafter where Darryl attended school. He graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1975 where he was active and successful in band and choir. Following high school, Darryl attended Abilene Christian University where he continued his study of music.

Darryl moved to the Oklahoma City area and began his professional career at Tinker Air Force Base in supply logistics in 1984. The job transitioned to the Defense Logistics Agency at Tinker where he eventually became a Supervisor in supply logistics and received the Senior Civilian Manager of the Year Award in 2014. He retired on July 30, 2020 having enjoyed a long and meaningful friendship with many of his colleagues. Darryl passed away at home on April 8, 2022 at the age of 65.

He is preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father and brother, David, both of Iowa Park; his brother, Don, and his wife, Carlene; their children, Janalyn Harrison and Joy Wiggins, along with her husband, Charles, and their children, Jaidon and Hannah, all of Abilene, TX.

A graveside service will be held on April 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park, TX.
