Dee Laverne Pannell Fowler

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Monday, January 13, 2014, at Lakeview Church of God in Iowa Park, with Pastor Tommy Porter, officiating. Burial will follow in New Electra Cemetery, Electra, Texas, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park.

Dee was born December 2, 1932 in Electra to parents, Rufus Pannell and Era Mae (Lane) Pannell, and was a graduate of Electra High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Catlin Oil Company and was a longtime member of Lakeview Church of God where she served as the church clerk for 27 years. She loved to read her Bible and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, L.P. Pannell and Rufus Pannell, and a sister, Era Lee Truett.

Survivors include three sons, David Fowler of Wichita Falls, Texas, Scott Fowler of Smithtown, New York, and Bryan Fowler of Iowa Park; a brother, Charles Pannell, of Carrollton, Texas, nine grandchildren, Trinity, Titian, Tori, Trevor, Seth, Katie, Grayson, Claire and Allie and two great grandchildren, Devin and Kinley.

Viewing at the funeral home will be from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, January 12, 2014, and on Monday at the church prior to the service.
