It is with profound sadness that the family of Delia Ann (Lemons) Daugherity announces her passing.

She was born on July 14th, 1960, to Don Paul Lemons and Leta Faye (McClendon) Lemons and passed from this earth to her heavenly home on March 9th, 2025.

Delia is survived by her husband, Don Daugherity; her three daughters, Rusti Roberts and husband, Jason Roberts; Jamie Williams and husband, Scottie Williams; Carry Brand and husband, Fletcher Lee Brand. Seven granddaughters; Lexi Roberts, Shelby Sanders, Dani Williams, Hadleigh Brand, Braylee (Tober) Brand, Randi Williams and Kylee Brand. One sister, Denise Sutton and husband, Marshall Ford. Two nieces, Shelly Ritcher and Casie Mass. And last, but certainly not least, her ever-loving faithful four-legged furry companion, Gus, her 9 year old blue heeler. As well as countless cousins and family friends.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, Don and Leta Lemons; her brother, Donny Lemons; her brother-in-law, Ray Sutton; and niece, Holley Sutton.

Delia graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1979 with her Cosmetology License, pursuing the trade upon graduation. She was a well-established and loved barber at D’s Barber Shop for over 30 years. She retired from the trade in 2015 and returned to her alma mater substitute teaching, continuing her love to inspire others by teaching young beauticians her secrets to the trade until fulling retiring in 2020.

On a warm day, Delia would often be found on her patio, enjoying the sunshine surrounded by her favorite people. She loved to play hostess to her ever-growing family. Delia often turned friends into family just by the warmth of her welcoming nature. She had a big heart that never seemed to run out of love to give. She touched the life of not only her family, but countless others who found shelter in her presence.

Delia will be laid to rest in a graveside service at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion on Thursday, March 13th, 2025, at 10:00 am, in Iowa Park, TX. A family visitation will be held, Wednesday, March 12th, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, TX.

We will miss her greatly and cherish the legacy she leaves behind.
