Delores Josephine Eckel

Delores Josephine (Crum) Eckel, 79, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Graveside Services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Crestview Memorial Park with Rev. Gene Holley, Jr., pastor, Life Tabernacle Church, officiating. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.

Delores, a long-time resident of Wichita Falls, was born March 11, 1933 to Forest Crum and Helen Pearl Crum Thompson. She worked as a waitress for many years and at one time worked for the City of Wichita Falls as a Dispatcher. She dearly loved Life Tabernacle Church where she was a member, and loved living for the Lord. She was a good woman and loving mother who raised four children alone.

Surviving relatives include one son, William Eckel of Norman, Oklahoma; three daughters, Theresa Glashan, Cindy Wilson, and Bobbi Jo Willis, all of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Carol Dunn of Fort Myers, Florida; Helen Guston of Houston, Texas; and Judith Rose of Montana; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Life Tabernacle Church, the Wichita County Humane Society, or to the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.
