Estefania Aguilar

Estefania grew up in Spain and carried her heritage, strength, and deep love for family with her throughout her life. She married Frank Aguilar, who was serving in the United States military, and together they began their life in the United States. Their journey first took them to Abilene, Texas, and later to Iowa Park, Texas, where Estefania embraced her new home while never losing touch with her Spanish roots.

A devoted and hardworking mother, Estefania raised her five children with unwavering love and determination. She built and operated a mobile home park in Iowa Park, where she raised her family before later settling in Wichita Falls. She traveled frequently back to Spain to visit her parents, siblings, and extended family, keeping her heritage alive and sharing it with her children.

In her later years, Estefania moved to New Braunfels, Texas, where she enjoyed 30 peaceful and happy years surrounded by family and friends.

Estefania is survived by her children: Christina Friar; Maria Britt and her husband, Jerry; Yolinda Morales and her husband, Hector; Susanna Ross and her husband, Gregory; and Alberto Aguilar and his wife, Lisa Aguilar.

She leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Tereece Panique; Michael (Mickey) Salcido; Josie Zubia; David Morales; Jessica Morales; Victoria (Tori) Morales; Oscar Montoya; Andres (Dru) Montoya; Antonio (Anthony) Montoya; Samantha Aguilar; and Angelina Aguilar.

She is further survived by her adored great-grandchildren: Alex Panique; Estefania (Stefani) Salcido; Antolina Salcido; Michael Salcido Jr.; Nicole Zubia; Noah Zubia; Anthony Martinez; Alex Verdugo III; Solis Morales; Aruelio (Leo) Montoya; Antonio (A.J.) Montoya Jr.; Bellarose (Bella) Montoya; Miles Montoya; and Maze Montoya.

She is also lovingly remembered by her extended family, and many dear friends, both in the United States and Spain.

Estefania’s life was defined by courage, resilience, and boundless love. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her.

A memorial service will be held at Dutton Funeral Home, located at 300 East Cash Street, Iowa Park, TX 76367. The service is scheduled for December 6, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
