Estel E. Jameson, 79, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Wichita Falls with Pastor Allen Hughes officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the funeral home.
Estel was born October 3, 1938 on the family ranch in Fisher County, Texas to Barto and Gertie (Branscum) Jameson. He attended school in Rotan, Texas. Estel was a farmer and rancher for the early part of his life and then worked as a machinist for several years, working at Dowell-Schlumberger in Wichita Falls. He was custodian for Region 9 and Iowa Park Consolidated Independent School District upon retirement. He married Teresa McClung on August 10, 1961 in Rotan, Texas. Estel was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He dearly loved his family and his church family.
Estel is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Welton, Glennon, and Clifford Jameson.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 57 years, Teresa Jameson; one son, Bart Jameson; two granddaughters, Courtney Simpson-Cardwell and her husband, Blake; and Abby Jameson; one great grandson, Brayden Green; all of Iowa Park; sisters-in-law, Patty Glover of Iowa Park and Myrna Parrish of Bethany, Oklahoma; three nephews, Gary Don Jameson of Kress, Texas, Larry and Greg Givens of Dallas, Texas; three nieces, Diane Hall of Tulia, Texas, Charlotte Hondl of Dickerson, North Dakota, and Lana Wright of Little Elm, Texas; and a host of friends.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls or to the First Church of the Nazarene of Wichita Falls.
