Eugene William "Gene" Minderman

E.W. “Gene” Minderman, 80, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Masonic graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Old Electra Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.

Gene was born January 17, 1935 in Mount Carmel, Texas to Will and Alvina (Moeller) Minderman. He quit school at the age of 13 and began working in the oil field. He later owned his own drilling business and started Minderman Construction Company. Gene is a former mayor of the City of Electra. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant! Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

Gene is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Walter Minderman; and two sisters, Anna Bates and Frieda Bryant.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Patsy (Griffin) Minderman of Temple, Oklahoma; two sons, Mike Minderman of Electra, Texas and James Martin and his wife, LeAnn of Cookietown, Oklahoma; one daughter, Leslie Anderson and her husband, Nathan of Oklahoma; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 8, 2015.
