Jackie Merle Gee

Jackie Merle Gee was born October 3, 1941 to Mabel and Elvie Gee in Seagraves, Texas. Jackie had many struggles in his life but he never let them slow him down. For many years Jackie rode his bicycle around Iowa Park, where he grew up and got to know everyone he came in contact with. He was very well liked and he especially loved police work. He hung out quite regularly with the sheriff’s department; so much they gave him an honorary badge and certificate. The family is so appreciative of everyone in Iowa Park for making him so welcome everywhere he went and for watching over and taking such good care of him.

Jackie lived many years at the Iowa Park Nursing Home.

He is survived by one sister, Clarice Holliman of Hobbs, NM; one brother, Mike Gee and wife, Debbie of Brownfield, TX; nieces, Suzy Ganaway, Kimberly Lawrence, Michelle Smith; nephews, Terry Holliman, Michael Wright, Mitchell Gee and many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday, November 16, 2015 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Daniel Robertson, Lakeview Church of God in Iowa Park officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, TX.
