To Mr. Alsup's family I am sorry for your loss. I did not know Mr Alsup but I did know his parents. I remember going with my dad to his parent's little store and climbing on a bunch of tires that were stack up in front of the candy display to pick out a piece of candy. I have fond memories of Mr Alsup's parents.

Coach Alsup was an amazing man. I first met him when he drove the school bus on our route. I was so little, he would have to get off the bus to help me on. He will be greatly missed. Heaven has another Angel today. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

I had a great partner when I was working in Mineral Wells, that was Randy (Hawk Bird) Alsup. I met Mr. Jim Alsup in the mid 70s. He was a great guy and I enjoyed talking with him. He was so proud of his family and, he was also proud of the kids of Iowa Park School System. It seems Iowa Park has always had very good teachers, and I know Mr. Alsup was one of the great teachers who really enjoying teaching in Iowa Park. When I would come back to Iowa Park for Homecoming, I would normally run across Mr. Alsup, I really enjoyed our visits, Mr. Alsup was a very respected man. I will miss him.
