James Omar Stevenson

A Memorial service will be at 2 pm Friday, December 13, 2013 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Lydia Pellikan officiating. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.

James was born January 8, 1940 in Oak County, Indiana to Raymond and Christine Unsworth Stevenson. He and Carol Coleman were married December 15, 1970 in Lawrenceville, Indiana. He was a retired truck driver. He served in the US Army. He has lived in the Iowa Park area for 35 years coming from Illinois.

His parents, a step-daughter, Gena Marie Ortiz Shoulders and a sister, Mildred Pearson preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of Iowa Park; children, Donna Poore of Iowa Park, Michael Stevenson of Iowa Park, Belinda Stevenson of Iowa Park, Jimmy Ray Stevenson, Gaylon Lee Stevenson, and Jerry Wayne Stevenson; brother, John Stevenson of Iowa Park; sister, Madonna Smith of Iowa Park; 5 grandchildren, Shawn, Dustin, Daniel, Gracie and Sumer and 4 great-grandchildren, Brittanie, Shawn Robert, Mary Frances and Christina.

Memorials are suggested to Girling Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas.
