Jan was the girl in high school who chose a "word of the day" that she used at least a half dozen times during the school day to build her vocabulary and smiled at an anyone who made fun of her for it. 

Jan's sweet smiling face was an encouragement that required no words when she brought food to my house while Danny was here on hospice.  Just her presence was reassuring.

Yet her persistent faith and patient smile during her own illness was a more remarkable testimony to her inner strength.  Even as she relinquished her independence by calling for help to do intimate care, she never lost her quiet,  but indomitable character or her sweet smile.  She was an inspiration.



Randy and I are so sorry for the loss of Jan.She was a friend to all and an exceptional Christian lady.She and I had so many laughs and a few tears.She was the type of friend that everyone wishes they had,but few are blessed to receive .We know without a doubt she is at home with the Lord.Heaven has only gotten sweeter with her there.Our thoughts and prayers are with her whole family right now.She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.May God be with you and peace be yours.

My heart goes out to  Jim and family  with great sympathy!  Jan was such a positive light in everything she did. I am saddened that each of you will be without her physically. I am assured through our belief in our Lord and Savior that she will be with you in spirit and see her again. 
What a “class act “Jan was throughout her life.  I will surely miss her and our visits over lunch. Knowing her throughout our school life has been a treasure of memories. Fondly, Diane Lockard
