Jay Lynn Young

Jay Lynn Young, 55, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls.

Jay was born on September 2, 1969, at Wichita Falls General Hospital. A proud graduate of Iowa Park High School, Class of 1988, fresh out of school Jay Lynn followed in his father’s footsteps and became a licensed plumber — a trade he practiced with dedication and pride until his health began to decline.

A man of deep love for his family, Jay cherished the time he spent with his parents and siblings. He found great joy in the simple things — cheering for the University of Texas Longhorns every weekend and never missing a WWE wrestling match. His loyalty and passion were unmatched.

Jay was also a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church, where he found strength, community, and lasting friendships through his beloved Adult Sunday School class.

Jay is survived by his brother, Jason Young of Wichita Falls, and his sister, Lacy Wright of Iowa Park. He leaves behind beloved nieces and nephews: Champ Young, Jett Young, Cassidy Young, McCager Wright, and Jaxon Wright, along with two great-nephews, Grayson and Huxlee, who brought him much happiness and pride.

Jay's quiet strength, stoic demeanor, and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, Texas.

Pallbearers will be members of the Faith Baptist Church Adult Sunday School class.
