Joyce Perkins

The family will receive loved ones and friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on August 28, 2025 at Dutton Funeral Home, 300 E Cash St., Iowa Park, Texas, 76367. A pavilion graveside service will be held August 29, 2025 at 10 AM at Highland Cemetery, 862 Rogers Rd, Iowa Park, Texas, 76367.

Joyce was born on May 22, 1934, in the Iowa Park area to Grover and Daphna Hodges. She graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1951. She married Bobby Perkins on November 22, 1952, and remained a loving wife through 57 years of marriage. She worked at Scotts Manufacturing, Southwestern Bell, and later in her career she worked as a teacher's aide and caregiver for several elderly patients.

She was preceded by her husband Bob, her parents, her brothers, M.L. and Jack; nephews Bill, Bob, and Heath Hodges.

Survivors include her son, Jackie and wife Debbie; brother Norman and wife Janice, sister-in-law Barbara; grandchildren Jacob and wife Jessica, Lynette Perkins Lowrance and husband Seth, Houston and Austin; 5 great-grandchildren, Grace, Garner, Kasen, Aizley, Lillian, and Caleb; nephews Jim, Wayne and Johnny Hodges.

Joyce’s family and faith were most important to her. She also treasured music, exemplified by her 32 years as pianist for the Lakeview Church of God.
