Kathryn Morris, 73 of lowa Park, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2022. She was born December 5, 1948 in Salisbury, North Carolina to Virgil and Loweta Athey. She married the love of her life and best friend, J.C. Morris on September 20, 1987. They traveled together across the country making so many special memories along the way, he was her rock and biggest fan. She will always be his "pretty lady".
Kathryn had a servant's heart, and spent much of her life spreading the word of God, through song.
When she wasn't singing she was making the world a more beautiful place arranging flowers as she worked as a Florist for over 20 years.
Her life was a living example of one her favorite bible verses, Ephesians 4:32-"And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God forgave you in Christ."
Kathryn was a dedicated and loving Mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Granny and Great-Grandma. When she wasn't playing with grandbabies, you could find her and the rest of the family gathered together watching her OU Sooners, or even better you could find her at a game with her son Michael.
Occasionally wink, wink" you might find her trying her luck at the casino with her daughter Wendy, or out on a mother/daughter day with her youngest Katina.
"Our Mother is the strongest woman we have ever met. She wasn't afraid of anyone or anything. She was a fierce mama bear, and her singing is the soundtrack of our lives."
Kathryn is survived by her adoring husband, J.C. Morris, children, Michael Whisman and wife Stacy, Wendy Hudson and husband Johnny, Katina Morrow Ledesma and husband JR, step sons; Darren Morris, Timothy Morris, Steve Morris and wife Cindy, brothers; Kevin Kelln and wife Kathy, Colin Kelln and wife Linda, sister Leah Pearson and husband Rick, step mother Sybil They, grandchildren; Matthew Cole, M.T.
