Kenneth Wesley Young

Kenneth Wesley Young, 80, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in Salina, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Landon Winstead, pastor, First Christian Church of Iowa Park, officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Dutton Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born May 19, 1935 in Putney, West Virginia to James and Vada Young. He served for 20 years in the military, serving in the Korean War as a Marine and retired from the United States Air Force. He married Nancy (Manning) Young on October 3, 1957. He was an elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Iowa Park and after the closing of the Presbyterian Church, became a member of the First Christian Church of Iowa Park. Kenneth was also a member of the VFW.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father; his wife; and one son, Robert Young.

Surviving relatives include his children, Richard Young, Teresa Young, Ron Young, and Don Young; grandchildren, Shayla and Jadyn Young; mother, Vada Young; sisters, Carolyn Webb, Wonnie Wendell, and Peggy Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.
