Kerry Lee Scobee

Kerry Lee “Scooby-Do” Scobee, 60, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Iowa Park, Texas. A wake will be held at 5 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Hotter'n Hell Building on Scott St. in downtown Wichita Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.

Kerry was born June 12, 1954 in Olney, Texas to Raymond Benjamin and Lois Earlene (Gray) Scobee. He attended school in Valley View until it was consolidated with Iowa Park schools, where he graduated. He married Rhonda Lee Neal on August 4, 1978 in Iowa Park. Kerry worked for 38 years for PPG as a Maintenance Utility. He loved fishing, garage selling with his friends, fishing, talking about and teaching living history, fishing, watching “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” and fishing.

Kerry is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Raymond Earl Scobee; nephew, Chris Scobee; Father-in-Law, Bob Neal; and nephew, Ray Hibbs.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Rhonda Scobee; son, Robert Benjamin “Bobby” Scobee, both of Iowa Park; one brother, Ben Scobee and his wife, Billie of Iowa Park; one sister, LaRonda Downs and her husband, Jackie of Kamay, Texas; mother-in-law, Barbara Neal of Iowa Park; sister-in-law, Connie Sandquist and her husband, Erik of Iowa Park; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, or to Susan G. Komen Wichita Falls, PO Box 1315, Wichita Falls, TX 76307.
