Laura Kay Hale, 54, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, March 11, 2019 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the funeral home.
Laura was born March 20, 1964 in Southbend, Indiana to James Norman Bean, Sr. and Willamina (Jarvis) Bean. She married Thomas Joseph Hale, Sr. on August 20, 1981 in Abilene, Texas and has lived in the Wichita Falls area for the past 6 years after moving from Conway, South Carolina. Laura worked at the Central Freeway Wal-Mart in Wichita Falls for 6 years where she worked as a night stocker. Laura loved her family dearly and will be missed greatly. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Thomas Joseph Hale, Sr of Wichita Falls; three children, April Hale of Wichita Falls, Sonay Martin of Flagstaff, Arizona; and Thomas Hale, Jr. of Wichita Falls; six siblings, James Bean, Jr. of Arlington, Texas; Kenneth Wayne Bean of Warsaw, Indiana; Mary Marsillett of Warsaw, Indiana; Lea Ann Richardson of Warsaw, Indiana; Melody Sue Shaffer of Elkhart, Indiana; and Rose Marie Cotton of Claypool, Indiana; four grandchildren, Teri Lynn Hale, Marcus Diaz, Matthew Martin, and Ashley Martin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will include Will Goodson, Nathan Madsen, Dallas Slaughter, Houston Slaughter, Avery Gary, and Cody Kilcrease.
