Lavena A Turner

Lavena Turner, age 81, went to be with her Lord on August 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. Lavena, born July 8, 1944, lived her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and she will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.

Lavena is preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Lindsay

She is survived by her husband, Herman Turner of the home; children, David Turner, Steve Turner, and Angie Lindsay (Brian) as well as her beloved grandchildren, Meagon Lemons(Shane), Jenna Williams(Jerrod), Collin Turner(Natalie), Matthew Turner and Cade Lindsay(Natalie) along with her great-grandchildren whom she cherished dearly. Lavena’s family was her greatest blessing, and her legacy of love and faith will live on through them.

Lavena was a longtime member of Faith Baptist church of Iowa Park, and her favorite activity was spending time with family and friends.

A service to celebrate Lavena’s life will be held at 2:00pm, September 12th at Dutton Funeral Home. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls in her honor.
