

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 22, 2012, in the Chapel of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park with Rev. Lonnie Stewart, Pastor of Mid-City Church of God, Bonita, Florida, officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Iowa Park, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Lawrence was born on January 30, 1927 to Henry and Nannie Case in Wichita County, Texas. He married Shirley Armstrong on June 29, 1949. They were blessed with 64 years of marriage.
Lawrence was a man of strong character. He was a hard worker, working most of his life in the oil fields in the Kamay/Iowa Park area. His family will cherish the blessings of him being a wonderful and loving husband and father. His grandchildren will fondly remember him as their Paw Case.
Lawrence was well known for his “Vegetable Gardens.” He plowed the garden space, planted the seeds, watered and pampered the vegetables until they matured and produced. He loved growing and sharing tomatoes, onions, okra and squash, just to name a few.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Earnest and Edmond, and his sisters, Lorene, Ellen and Loretta.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, his daughter, Judy George, son, Roger Case and wife, Yvonda; his grandchildren, Scott and Summer Skinner, Rodney and Amy Case, Randy and Cheryl Case, Heather and Ryan Sullivan, Jonathan and Courtney Hooper; eight great grandchildren, Kelsey, Ryan, Dakota, Caroline, Cooper, Tucker, Kolter and Brayleigh; and one surviving sister, Virginia Schoonover.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation for all the love and care provided by the Iowa Park Health Care Center and Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Visitation with friends and family will be from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, December 21, 2012, at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls, P.O. Box 4804, Wichita Falls, TX 76308.
