Mom was a remarkable woman who balanced the demands of the military leadership as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force with raising her children with unwavering love and patience. She showed us that duty requires courage, teaching her children and grandchildren to be strong and self-reliant.
Mom loved reading, riding horses, listening to her kids and grandkids playing and singing at the “Hilltop;” Cardinal's baseball, cooking, floating around her pool, traveling with her kids, grandkids, and her siblings, fishing, and watching the sunrise and sunset while listening to the waves with her toes in the sand.
She is survived by David and Michelle Phelps, Jennifer & Sean Kinkel, Kathy & Curtis Hill, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, and friends whom they will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
