

She was welcomed in Heaven by her husband, Paul Ray Morris, her parents, Ruben (Shorty) and Pauline White, stepfather Bud Hargrove, her son Scott Alan Morris, daughter Rae Lynn Edenfield, grandson Adam Morris and great grandson Karson Sutton.
Marilyn was born January 12, 1944 and attended schools in Iowa Park. She and Paul Morris were married December 18, 1959. She was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom until her youngest daughters senior Year at Bowie High School. Marilyn enjoyed working at Frontier Western Wear and The Bowie News until they returned home to Iowa Park. For many years, she utilized her organizational skills working in the mailroom at United Regional Hospital.
Marilyn was a talented decorator within the homes she and Paul shared creating kitchens reminiscent of the 1950's, collecting depression glassware and a large and valuable assortment of cookie jars. She was especially proud when she successfully completed her GED and hosted several gatherings in her home during Iowa Park Homecomings with some of her classmates From W.F. George High School in Iowa Park.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Karla and husband Steve Herron of Bowie, sisters Carolyn Powell of North Jackson, Ohio and Andrea Cantrell of Bowie, brother Eddie White and wife Susan of Wichita Falls, daughter in law, Pat Morris of Iowa Park, brothers-in- law Frank and J.C. Morris of Iowa Park, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation Friday, July 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and a Funeral following at 11:00 am. lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Plus.
