Mattie Little, 87, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 in Iowa Park. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Tom Box officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Woodson Cemetery in Woodson, Texas. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
Mattie was born August 15, 1927 in Woodson, Texas to George Washington and Esther Alice (Doan) Elliston. She was raised in Woodson and married Leon Travis Little on February 2, 1957 in Abilene, Texas. They lived a short time in New Mexico before settling in Iowa Park in 1959. Mattie enjoyed spending her time sewing, gardening, and loved being in the outdoors.
Mattie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and all of her siblings.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Sherry Little and son, Travis Little, both of Iowa Park; brother-in-law, Grady Carpenter of Iowa Park; sisters-in-law, Clydie McReynolds of Arizona and Beverly Little of College Station, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
